In these Corona Times, everything that is brought in, is thoroughly washed and dried before storing it. I hope you are doing it too. One day, we left the milk packet a little too long to dry and when warmed the milk, it went bad. So, Reuse-Recycle philosophy was used, and this dish came out of bad milk. Not bad huh!!
You can use any paneer, but I like quick home-made paneer for this as it is very soft and crumbled.
So, here goes the recipe for Paneer-Aloo balls.
All you need is:
- Half Litre Milk
- 1 Teaspoon Vinegar
- 3-4 boiled potatoes
- 1 Tablespoon Gram Flour (Besan)
- ¼ Cup chopped onion
- 2 Tablespoon chopped coriander
- Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon chilli powder
- Oil for deep fry
All you need to do is:
- Add vinegar into the milk and boil it till water separates
- Put a cotton/muslin cloth in the sieve and strain the milk and leave it aside to cool down
- Mash the boiled potatoes and add all the ingredients (except oil) and mix well
- Make small round smooth balls of the mixture.
- Add oil to a pan and heat it
- Deep fry the balls and serve them with green chutney or tomato ketchup
Voila! Your Easy-Peasy Paneer-Aloo balls are ready.
