Easy Peasy Paneer Aloo Balls

In these Corona Times, everything that is brought in, is thoroughly washed and dried before storing it. I hope you are doing it too. One day, we left the milk packet a little too long to dry and when warmed the milk, it went bad. So, Reuse-Recycle philosophy was used, and this dish came out of bad milk. Not bad huh!!

You can use any paneer, but I like quick home-made paneer for this as it is very soft and crumbled.

So, here goes the recipe for Paneer-Aloo balls.

All you need is:

  • Half Litre Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon Vinegar
  • 3-4 boiled potatoes
  • 1 Tablespoon Gram Flour (Besan)
  • ¼ Cup chopped onion
  • 2 Tablespoon chopped coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • Oil for deep fry

All you need to do is:

  1. Add vinegar into the milk and boil it till water separates
  2. Put a cotton/muslin cloth in the sieve and strain the milk and leave it aside to cool down
  3. Mash the boiled potatoes and add all the ingredients (except oil) and mix well
  4. Make small round smooth balls of the mixture.
  5. Add oil to a pan and heat it
  6. Deep fry the balls and serve them with green chutney or tomato ketchup

Voila! Your Easy-Peasy Paneer-Aloo balls are ready.
