1. To hug, kiss or greet a stranger or someone they don't like -We are visiting so many relatives these days and have been getting side eyes and frowns when our kid doesn't greet people or refuses to play with them and we become his advocate.
What matters is his opinion and safety. 2. Telling them to eat when they are not hungry - No matter your kid eats by himself or you feed him, always follow responsive feeding do that your kid knows his hunger cues and his body 3. To lie for you or about themselves - Lying for small things teaches them it is okay to decieve and you never know when these innocent lies turn into something big. 4. To apologize when they are not at fault - Never force your kid to say Sorry and especially when he is not at fault. Let them take a stand for themselves and you too stand by them. 5. To do something they are not good at - forcing your kid to do something they are not good at only lowers their confidence and makes them hate that activity even more. Ease them into the activity and make it interesting if you want them to retry. Tell me something that you will never force your kid to do.

It's about giving reigns of their lives in their hands and helping then choose the path which is right for them. It's about giving them freedom to choose and share their opinions even though they are kids. It's about treating them as Human Beings and not just as a child. Do you agree?

Our 3 year old didnt try to draw anything 'cz he thought he was not good at it. He always asked us to draw for him.
We told him that u try drawing standing n sleeping lines, you can draw it. At times held his hand to attempt.
But we were wrong.
a. his little fingers were not ready to draw
b. he wanted a perfect picture which he knew he cudnt draw
c. we didnt acknowledge his feelings of expectations We then stopped insisting him to draw and just practiced random limes and circles here and there. He has been practicing lines and coloring in school as well and recently he drew some random picture (which was not even close to bus/truck/ambulance) and came to me excitedly and showed me. Instead of dismissing it, I went with his lead and asked the questions like oww, yeah it looks same as like ur truck (he copied what he made with magnatiles) but i cant see the wheels and he drew 2 circles and then walked me through what is what.. I went with his imagination..
